Mushroom Teriyaki


















Ingredients: *

  • 2 portobello mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup sesame seed oil
  • 1/4 cup agave (or preferred sweetener) 
  • 1 + 1/2 teaspoons minced/grated yellow onion
  • 1 + 1/2 teaspoons minced/grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • sesame seeds (optional) to garnish
  • green onions (optional) to garnish

Equipment:

  • Wok or sautĂ© pan


Method:
  1. Clean mushroom caps and remove stems. 
  2. Cut mushrooms into desirable slices. 
  3. Make slices into the mushroom slices. 
  4. In a large bowl mix all the sauce ingredients and submerge the mushrooms.
  5. Cover and allow to marinate in the refrigerator for a 10 minutes. 
  6. Add oil to hot pan and cook for 5 to 10 minutes.
