Seed or Nut Milk















Here's a simple recipe to make milk from seeds and nuts. First you'll want to make the seed or nut butter.

Ingredients:
  • 3/4 cup of nuts or seeds (i.e. Brazilian Nut, Hempseed, Raw Sesame Seeds or Walnuts)
  • 6 cups water
  • sea salt (optional)
  • vanilla (optional)
  • sweetener to taste (optional)
If using nut or seed butter use 1 Tbsp. per 1 cup of water. 

Equipment:
  • Blender (or food processor)
  • Large glass jar (to keep the milk refrigerated) 
Method:
  1. Pour 5 cups of water into the glass jar. 
  2. Blend the remaining 1 cup water with 3/4 nuts or seeds. 
  3. Blend for 3 minutes. 
  4. Remove from blender, pour into the glass jar and stir. 
  5. Add additional ingredients (if using) and stir again. 
  6. Place in the refrigerator for 4-5 days. 
*oil separation may occur and is natural during refrigeration.
