Pico De Gallo (Salsa)





















Pico De Gallo is a simple salsa made in various forms. This variation is simple with only 5 ingredients with one of them optional. This Mexican salsa can be used anywhere you would use guacamole such as wraps or eaten with chips.


Ingredients:

4 fresh plum tomatoes
1/2 cup chopped cilantro
1/2 cup chopped red onion (or yellow or sweet)
1 tsp sea salt (optional)

Equipment:

Knife (to dice and cut tomatoes)

Method:

Dice tomatoes.
Separate the tomatoes from the seeds and juice and place into a separate bowl.
Add the chopped cilantro and onion with the tomatoes.
Add 1 tsp of sea salt and stir.

Yields 1 serving
