Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup raw (un-toasted) sesame seeds
- 1 cup spring water, to soak
Equipment:
- Blender or food processor
Method:
- Soak the sesame seeds at room temperature for 4 hours in enough water to cover and an inch more as they will grow by absorbing the water.
- Drain and throw away the soak water.
- Rinse the soaked sesame seeds under running water and put them in the refrigerator to sprout for another 4 hours.
- Put the sesame seeds to blend on high until creamy. Use a spatula to scrap the seeds down from the sides as needed.
- There should be no whole seeds left. Add water as needed, a tablespoon at a time to keep the mixture moving.
- Keeps fresh in the refrigerator for 3 days in a sealed glass jar.
