Banana Berry Smoothie




Ingredients: *
  • 1/4 cup frozen berries
  • 3 baby bananas or 1 cup worth
  • 1 tsp. (or 2 tsp. if you are comfortable with the taste) Sea moss blend 
  • 2 Tbsp hemp seeds (hemp seeds are one of the best plant-based sources for omega 3, you can also use raw walnuts)
  • 1 to 1.5 cup spring water or young coconut water with or without soft jelly coconut
  • 4 cubes of ice (optional)
  • 2-3 tsp. agave (or preferred sweetener i.e. Date sugar, dates, sweetener is used to mask the taste of the sea moss.)
*Sweetener will help to balance the taste of the Irish moss blend. 

Equipment:
  • Blender
Method:
  1. Add water and nuts into the blender.
  2. Blend on high for 1 minute or until smooth. 
  3. Add berries, bananas, sea moss.
  4. Blend for 20-40 seconds on high.
  5. Add more water if necessary for desired texture and add agave to adjust for taste.
Yields 1 serving
