Sea moss gel can be made from its powder form and used in the kitchen in several ways. In gel form, sea moss can be used as a thickening agent, binding agent and when used correctly it can make baked goods rise in the oven.
By applying boiling water to some seamoss / irish moss powder and allowing it to cool the sea moss converts itself from a watery mixture into a solid gel reminiscent of a chew-able solidified pudding. Sea moss gel can be used in baking as a binder, as a substitute for eggs. Seamoss gel can also be used to make softer and more chew-able breads.
