Review: CocoJoy Coconut Water

There's a lot of coconut waters in the market these days as well as actual coconuts. Coconut water comes from the young green coconuts and this of course is the purest and best way to consume coconut water. However, we don't always have to time chop a young coconut in todays modern age. Not all of us are at the beach on the islands.

UPDATE: February 2024
CoCo Joy Coconut Water has changed some of the ingredients in their products. The regular CoCo Joy Coconut Water in both can and bottle now contains some amounts of cane sugar (as indicated in the ingredients). This regular/non-organic version also labels itself as saying contains 100% juice even though it has cane sugar. However, the now "Organic" version of the CoCo Joy Coconut Water in both can and bottle do not contain cane sugar and is the only ingredient is coconut water.

Some of the best bottled coconut water I've had is a brand named Harmless Coconut Water and that's what I'll be comparing it to. CocoJoy tastes very good, it's many steps up from vita coco, or any generic coconut water brand at the grocery store. In comparison, Harmless Coconut Water tastes better but is much more expensive. A

The only ingredient in Coco Joy coconut water is just that, coconut water, and that's the best part. Some other coconut water brands will contain 1% of added sugar, which is cane sugar and that's something I like to stay away from. Although 1% may not sound like a lot, it adds up when properly adding up the serving size. A liter of coconut water is four serving sizes. In closing, CocoJoy is now my go-to coconut water and tastes much better than the other brands I was used to like Vita Coco, C2O, Zico, ONE Coconut Water etc. It's the best tasting bottled coconut water on a budget.

Costs:

16.9 oz can = $2.39
34 oz/1 Liter = $5.29 (compare to Harmless Coconut Water at $11.59)
